Japan has many unique and delicious snacks.
One of the most popular snacks is “takoyaki”. “tako” is octopus, and “yaki” is
baked in Japanese. The form looks like a small ball. This ball is baked, so it
is called “takoyaki”. You can find takoyaki stands anywhere in Japan.
Especially during festival, a lot of takoyaki stands are around. Usually, we
eat it with worcestershire sauce and mayonnaise. It is also good with bonito
flakes. Recently one way to eat takoyaki is not only this way but also in a variety
of ways like with soy sauce, cheese, sour taste sauce etc. I love takoyaki
because it is delicious, and I can eat in many ways. If you visit Japan you
should find the best way to eat takoyaki for you.

What's in my Fridge
I have a few foods in my room actually. There
is a package of chocolates in my desk. I have a few packages of retort packed
rice, and some packages of laver. These things were sent by my mom. My mother
also sent me a jar of cod roe. This is fish’s egg, and it’s kind of Japanese
food. I like it. I haven’t bought a bottle of juice recently, so I don’t have
something to drink in my room.

Garlic's power
In Japan, everyone believes garlic is very
good for health. Since past, garlic has been used several dishes. Especially,
garlic soup is thought as best food for when you get cold. Japanese think garlic
makes us powerful and healthy. Recently, garlic use for supplement or energy
drink.
I think it’s true. According to my
research, garlic has power for defending fatigue and making stamina. Moreover,
it defends poor circulation and is good for sleeplessness. It has been proved
garlic’s good effect. On the other hand, it has still been searched how good for
cold. I was surprised that people knew garlic is good before it was proved.

When I was a child, my family used to play
baseball at the park near to our house. There are 5 people in my family, so
actually we couldn’t play the real game. However, we would play with original
rules. In those days, we had a couple of gloves and only one bat. We would just
threw the ball and hit the ball, and while others chased the ball, the batter
would rum. Today, I don’t know the real rules of baseball. Now, we are grown up,
and we are busy. So, we don’t play anymore. This is my good memory with my
family.

Camping by Lake Near the Mt.Fuji
When I was a junior high school student, I
went to camping by lake near the Mt.Fuji with my family. Mt.Fuji is most famous
mountain in Japan. This is famous as extremely beautiful form mountain.
We got on a canoe and rowed it by ourselves.
It was really exiting!! On the canoe, we saw past lava and Mt.Fuji very close.
These view let me think about eruption of Mt.Fuji. It was super interesting.
After we got canoe, unfortunately we noticed someone stolen my croquette for
dinner. I lost my dinner!! But amazingly my father decided to cook curry and
went to shop to buy ingredients of curry. Then, my mum and I cooked curry, and
my dad and my brothers cooked rice!! That curry was very delicious! I was so
happy:) After eating curry, we grilled some marshmallow for dessert. This
travel was absolutely amazing trip for me!!

Hi everyone!!
This is my first blog. I would like to
write about myself. My name is Tomoyo Kawashima. I am from Tokyo in Japan.
Tokyo and Missoula have a lot of differs, so I am always be surprising. In
order to get strong English skill, I decided to this study abroad. I want to
get English skills (especially speaking and reading sections) by when I go back
Japan. If someone finds how to effectively study English, please, please teach
me too.
I have a lot of hobbies. Since when I was
Japan, I like dancing Hawaiian Hula, watching animation, and fashion. I started
learning hula dance about one year ago. Dancing hula makes me relax and happy.
My favorite animation movie is Disney movie. I want to enjoy Disney movie in
English someday. I also like Japanese animations too.
After I came to Missoula, I got more hobbies. I became like hiking, climbing and playing at the outside thanks of Missoula’s nature. While I am here, I want to make a lot of friends and join outdoor activities with them.
Maybe everyone doesn’t know that my made up face and my natural are totally different.
I have to wake up early to make up my face every day.
Thank you!!
